Profile picture of Amanda Fernandes, design team manager

Amanda Fernandes

Amanda has been intrigued by construction since a young age. She was always eager to be outdoors building something with her hands.

As she pursued her studies in the Architectural tech program at St. Clair College, she gained practical experience working at a local construction company. Later during her studies she worked for two architectural design firms while still attending school. The last placement was a multi-discipline firm which she remained at for 8 years. During her time there she was exposed to multiple areas such as mechanical, architectural, and structural work, which eventually led her to specialize in the Civil department.

After leaving her previous job, Amanda worked at the City of Windsor's corporate projects division. There she assisted in overseeing city projects and developed standard engineering department drawings. Additionally, she reviewed site plan control applications and right of way permits.

In 2010, Amanda got married to Philip. During her first maternity leave, she began working full-time for their company. Since then, Amanda has not looked back and much prefers the idea of building things figuratively and literally with her husband.
